　　成长于英国卡地夫威尔士市的Donna，早在6岁时她就开始接触和弹奏钢琴。启蒙老师即Donna的父亲还引导小Lewis学着创作自己的歌曲，而这时她才只是一个青少年。逐渐Donna长大成人，在Welsh大学戏剧学院主修长笛和钢琴在古典作品中的运用。毕业后，她先是在萨塞克斯教授音乐课程，一年后，她搬到了伯明翰，加入了当地的酒吧乐队。早年父亲的努力和她在乐队的表演经历培养了她的歌唱素质和词作的才能。使她在伯明翰当地成为了小有名气的歌手。1990年她已经作为钢琴独奏和合声的一部分开始穿梭于英国及欧洲大陆间的各种酒吧。同时，她还建立了自己的家庭音乐工作室，录制了许多的样带。

　　在威尔士的加的夫市出生并长大的唐娜从小就在以音乐和戏剧的著称的威尔士学院接受训练，主修长笛和钢琴。

　　毕业后的她首先开始在地方上以乐队和词曲创作上展示自己的才能。 以1990年，她的脚步已经遍布了英国和整个欧洲大陆的各大酒吧。她也组建了自己的工作室录制自己的demos，并且开始了一系列的巡回演出。

　　而真正的变化出现在1993年，当她忙碌于宣传自己Demo带时，一盘样带引起了Atlantic公司的注意，Chairman Doug Morris这家美国大场牌的制作人专程从纽约赶来和她单独会面，他们想要她灌录唱片！

　　但是直到3年后，她的首张处女大碟"now in a Minute"才得以发行。不过几年的耽搁丝毫没有减退Donna的才华，"I love you Always Forever"作为无可比拟的热门金曲在VH1和AD等大大小小的排行榜占据领先，声势席卷美国，11月3日发行的首张大碟更是创造了白金的销量。那时、那刻也是Donna最辉煌的瞬间。

　　98年，第二张专集"Blue Planet"也随之发行，延续她略带电子味的曲风，BP越上了一个新的层次。"I could be the one"在欧洲本地影响甚广，而另一支单曲"Love Him"则又一次受到美国听众的青睐，登上了Bilboard的舞曲榜头冠。2‘000’000的销量足以说明一切！

　　99年，Lewis已是名声斐然，正是需要做些适当调整，和家人小聚或是休息片刻的成功音乐人。但是Fox的动画大片“Anastasia"真假公主却缺少不了她，和Richard Marx合作的At the Beginning以及在动画片中客串曲目和配音，让这为来自英国的可人女生又一次出尽风头。

　　不过，当今的流行乐坛日新月异。即便Donna可以在00年夏以一曲”take me O“再扫欧洲，01年参与包括众多大牌的精选专集录制，为电影 ‘Traffic’和‘The Heist’单纲的配乐，还有02年推出的最新个人第三张大碟”Be Still"。一切都已过去，Donna也渐渐被听众所漠视，消失在了浮华而又庞大，崇尚多元的流行乐坛之中。。。。。。

　　08年，推出专辑“In The Pink ”。
