China-South Korea co-produced film 'Bad Guys Always Die' has premiered in Beijing.
中韩联合制作影片《坏蛋必须死》在北京举行首映式。
Director Sun Hao along with the leading cast, including Korean actress Son Ye-jin and Chinese actor Qiao Zhenyu, attended the event.
In this black action-comedy, China's top director Feng Xiaogang and leading Korean filmmaker Kang Je-gyu have teamed up as producers.
Speaking at the premier, Kang Je-gyu has praised Sun Hao for his directorial debut.
"I think the most important characters those new directors should have are determination and persistence. Director Sun Hao is already equipped with such characters. Though this film seems a little bit dark, you can still sense the cheerfulness in it. Sun Hao has the potential to direct more types of films."
Though the leading actor Chen Bolin did not show at the premier, he sent a video message to congratulate those involved in the film on its opening.
The film features an adventure of a Chinese primary school teacher in Jeju Island, who comes across a mysterious lady that later gets him involved into a local crime.
