These times will try hard to define me
And I'll try to hold my head up high
But I've seen despair here from the inside
And it's got a one track mind
And I have this feeling in my gut now
And I don't know what it is I'll find
Does anybody ever feel like,
You're always one step behind?
Now I'm sitting alone here in my bed
I'm waiting for an answer I don't know that I'll get
I cannot stand to look in the mirror, I'm failing
I'm telling you these times are hard
But they will
And I know there's someone out there somewhere
Who has it much worse than I do
But I have a dream inside, a perfect life
I'd give anything just to work
It's like I'm only trying to dig my way out
Of all these things but I can't
And I am sitting alone here in my bed
I'm waiting for an answer I don't know that I'll get
I cannot stand to look in the mirror, I'm failing
I'm telling you these times are hard
But they will pass,
They will pass
They will pass
These times are hard
But they will
These times will try hard to define me
But I will hold my head up high
Sitting alone here in my bed
I'm waitng for an answer I don't know that I'll get
I cannot stand to look in the mirror, I'm failing
I'm telling you these times are hard
But they will pass
And I know there's a reason
I just keep hoping it won't be long 'til I see it
And maybe if we throw up our hands and believe it
I'm telling you these times are hard
But they will pass
They will pass
They will pass
These times are hard
But they will pass作者: sunny萝卜 时间: 2013-8-17 09:51
When most bands begin to build up enough of a buzz in their hometowns that a move to a more "music biz " oriented city may be in the offing, the choice is usually New York or Los Angeles. For Tulsa-born Safetysuit, however, the destination was Nashville, TN. Originally known as Crew, singer/guitarist Doug Brown, drummer Tate Cunningham, and bassist Jeremy Henshaw (with two other members in the ranks at the time) first came to prominence in their Oklahoma hometown after winning a talent show that the band entered at the last minute. Over the course of the next year, the group began to outgrow their surroundings, and opted for a move. While Nashville is the Mecca for those heading towards country stardom, rock stars usually don't race there to set up camp. Realizing what a musical city it was in all manner of style, the lads in Safetysuit gave it a go. By the summer of 2005, the band had recorded an EP and begun a performance schedule that sometimes saw them hitting stages two to three times a week. Eventually, the band scored a deal with Universal, and with guitarist Dave Garofalo taking on the guitarist slot, Safetysuit recorded their debut full length, Life Left to Go, which was released in 2008.作者: sunny萝卜 时间: 2013-8-17 10:18
