网友质疑“这是对观众的不尊重”、“造假都造到春晚上,已经令春晚变了味”，“央视春晚的目的是‘联欢’，而不是明星的秀场。作为观众，我们想的只是大众‘联欢’，而不是集体‘追星’、‘造星’，我们需要的是精彩，而不是名气。”“既然假唱，何必现场直播？干脆全部假一遍，连倒计时一起，全部录像不就完了？”
Some netizens considered it as a “disrespect for the audience”, while some felt disappointing for the “depressing retrogress of the Gala caused by forgeries”. “Spring Festival Gala is not a carnival for celebrities but a festival show for common people, as an audience but not a groupie or a star-maker, what we want is to get a happy together and to enjoy a series of attractive performances. We don’t need any showing-off guys. If lip-synching is acceptable, why not change the live show to be a video program and forge everything, even the Countdown for the New Year?” criticized some netizens.
但据报道，由于近几年的春晚都要求真唱，以致彩排的时候不少演员频频跑调，一些人气演员也因此退出春晚。为了汇聚大部分受观众喜欢的演员，才提出可以用演员对口型的“保守疗法”解决唱歌音准的问题。试想，并非专业歌手出身的明星，要在“载舞”的同时一边“载歌”，不假唱如何能交差？
