记者赶往位于北京西北八达岭地区的冰心纪念碑所在地———北京中华文化名人雕塑纪念园。该园负责人张铁军接待了记者，并向记者介绍了基本情况。5月31日下午纪念园值班人有事不在，吴山带领数人在没有告知的情况下进入纪念园，在冰心、吴文藻夫妇的纪念碑上用红漆刷上几个大字，并用红漆贴上一封信，因为5月31日晚上下雨，信被吹落到山下，后经工作人员四处寻找，在记者采访期间找到了那封信，记者看到那封信背面是油漆痕迹，正面是白纸黑色粗体字，关于信的内容，张铁军介绍说是吴山宣称的关于吴平包二奶的事情。
