i think it should be belongs to the couples.
in our local traditional,boy's family pay for the down payment of the house,and the girl's family pay for the decoration,electrical equipment,house furnishings and so on.

If the women aim to the house or money,i think she should gain nothing,many of the family buy house though their parents,especially the man's family.

i think the point of marriage is lie in making happy to each other not house,car or money.
