大家好，我们每个人都想提高自己的外语水平，很多人外语已经学了很多年，从小学到大学，甚至工作以后都始终不忘学习外语。不知大家能否谈一下自己学习外语的目的，欢迎大家参与讨论。

伴随着我的成长，我学习英语的动机也在变化，大学之前是被迫学习外语的，因为我不知道除了应付考试外为什么学习外语，当我顺利的通过了所有的考试后，由于失去了目标英语的学习也就暂时搁浅了。在研究生阶段，当大量的国外的文献资料放在我面前的时候，当老师让我写英文版的paper时，我对英语的认识有了根本性的变化，英语一方面是你了解世界的工具，另一方面是你走向世界的媒介。
我想语言作为一种工具，作为一种文化，真是多多益善。

看来大家都是目标很明确的，想一下自己挺落后的，曾经迷茫了那么久，好在现在渐渐明朗起来，我发出次话题的目的是提醒大家在学习的同时，不要忘记思考，以免蹉跎了岁月，祝愿大家有一个更加美好的明天！

so if you try your best to do something ,you will become the NO. ONE

不为什么，每当打开一个全是英文的好网站时，面对那密密麻麻的英文字母，认识不了几个，理解不了他的意思时，我就很想把英语学好，这就是我的动力……
