Part 1: English Article:
Topic: Disappointment
A: Why are you so disappointed?
Trans: 你为什么失望？
B: I listened to the second paragraph many times. But I just couldn’t catch one word in the beginning sentence…a letter of what?
Trans：第二段我听了好几遍，但是开头的一个词我怎么也听不清楚。。。。。一封什么信？
A：Don’t Lose heart. A letter of complaint
Trans：别灰心。A letter of complaint
B: Complaint? I seem to know the word, but I forget the Chinese for it .Complaint?
Trans：Complaint? 我好像知道这个词，但是我忘记了它的中文意思。Complaint?
A: When you are not satisfied with something, you complain.  
Trans：当你对某些事物不满意时，你就会抱怨
B：Yes，I remember now. Thank you .Sometimes I just can’t react immediately.
Trans：是的，我现在想起来了，谢谢。有时，我就是不能立刻反应过来
A: This shows you are not family with the word. And you should do more exercise
Trans：这说明尼队这个词还不是非常的熟悉，你应该多做练习
B: I think so. I always try my best to listen, but if I meet some new words, I get confused
Trans：我也是这样想，我总是尽量注意听，但遇到生词就慌，疑惑了
A: Sometimes it’s not the new word that hinder your hearing. It might be the vowel sounds which are given different pronunciations
by different speakers in the passage, so you must be patient and judge by yourself according to the context
Trans：有时，并不一定是生词防碍你的听力，在这段材料有可能是不同的讲话者对一些元音的发音不同，所以你一定要耐心，并且按照上下文来判断

Part 2: English call- board:

比较since和for

Since 用来说明动作起始时间，for用来说明动作延续时间长度。 I have lived here for more than twenty years. I have lived here since I was born.. My aunt has worked in a clinic since 1949.　 Some new oilfields have been opened up since 1976. 　 注意：并非有for 作为时间状语的句子都用现在完成时。 I worked here for more than twenty years. (我现在已不在这里工作。) I have worked here for many years.　　　 (现在我仍在这里工作。) 小窍门：当现在完成时+一段时间，这一结构中，我们用下面的公式转化，很容易就能排除非延续动词在完成时中的误使。 　　1)　(对) Tom has studied Russian for three years. 　　　 = Tom began to study Russian three years ago, and is still studying it now. 　　2)　(错) Harry has got married for six years. 　　　 = Harry began to get married six years ago, and is still getting married now. 　　显然，第二句不对，它应改为Harry got married six years ago.　或 Harry has been married for six years.
