A North Plainfield man today was indicted on burglary and other charges for allegedly breaking into a Bridgewater woman’s home, watching porn and robbing her of cash and jewelry, according to court papers.
A Somerset County grand jury charged Dwan Koonce, 25, of Netherwood Avenue, with first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, and third-degree charges for terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
The 42-year-old woman was sleeping when Koonce broke into her dwelling on Dartmouth Avenue on Oct. 5, according to court papers. When she got out of bed, she found him sitting in her living room and watching pornography on her computer, police said.
Koonce approached her with a knife and forced her into the bedroom, threatening to kill her if she moved, according to the affidavit Bridgewater Detective Scott Slepokura filed in Superior Court. Koonce demanded jewelry and then went back into the living room and took $100 from her purse, Slepokura wrote.
The man returned to her bedroom and again threatened to kill her if she left her room and looked out of her window, the affidavit says. Koonce took her car keys and cell phone before leaving |
