在1993年末的一场演出中，她给Atlantic Records的老板Chairman Doug Morris留下了深刻的影响，他邀请唐娜去纽约表演，并且邀请她灌制自己的唱片。
她包办词曲制作的首张专辑 -《Now in a Minute》 在1996年5月推出后引起了强烈的反响。 尤其是第一张单曲 《I Love You Always Forever 》瞬间成为全球热门，在各国的流行音乐排行榜上称雄。 在当时，此张单曲唱片成为美国销售量最大的单曲唱片，累计销量已经超过100万。

98年，第二张专集"Blue Planet"也随之发行，延续她略带电子味的曲风，BP越上了一个新的层次。"I could be the one"在欧洲本地影响甚广，而另一支单曲"Love Him"则又一次受到美国听众的青睐，登上了Bilboard的舞曲榜头冠。2‘000’000的销量足以说明一切！
99年，Lewis已是名声斐然，正是需要做些适当调整，和家人小聚或是休息片刻的成功音乐人。但是Fox的动画大片“Anastasia"真假公主却缺少不了她，和Richard Marx合作的At the Beginning以及在动画片中客串曲目和配音，让这为来自英国的可人女生又一次出尽风头。
不过，当今的流行乐坛日新月异。即便Donna可以在00年夏以一曲”take me O“再扫欧洲，01年参与包括众多大牌的精选专集录制，为电影 ‘Traffic’和‘The Heist’单纲的配乐，还有02年推出的最新个人第三张大碟”Be Still"。一切都已过去，Donna也渐渐被听众所漠视，消失在了浮华而又庞大，崇尚多元的流行乐坛之中。。。。。。
