I found myself wondering, though, how his morning had been. What had been his last words to his wife? To his children? To his friends? What had he done the day before? The week before? What had been his last contributionsto this planet of ours and its people?

I know that one day my body will be lying somewhere, completely spiritless after I die. My hope is that when that time comes, I won't be leaving many things left unsaid. I hope thatI will have told the people I love that I love them, and I hope that my last words to no one will have been words of anger or discouragement. I hope that even if today was my last day, my last words to anyone might have been words of encouragement, love, and peace. （to be continued）


然而，我却很想知道，他这个早上到底是怎样过的？他对妻子最后说了些什么呢？对孩子和朋友说的又是什么？他昨天做了些什么？上个星期呢？他对我们这个地球以及人类所做的最后的贡献又是什么？

我知道，某一天，我也会躺在某处死去，死后无知无觉，一切都结束了。我只是希望，那个时刻到来的时候，我不会有太多要说的话还没有说。我希望我已经告诉了我爱的人我爱他们，我希望我临终时不要对任何人说出怨愤或是令人气馁的话。我希望，即使今天是我生命的最后一天，我给任何人留下的也都是充满鼓励、爱与和平的话。 （待续）
