The first problem suffered by foreigners arriving here is the language. Not understanding English causes him to say all kinds of things which he don't mean. A friend asked for some fried rice with his dinner once.  He found out later that the waitress understood him to say "flied lice". Another time he was talking with an American friend about the national elections, but talked about "enational eractions" instead. Of course it embarrassed his friend, a girl.

The first problem suffer by foreigner surviving here is the language, not understanding English causes you to see all kinds of things what you don't need. A friend asked for some French fries with his dinner once. He found out later that waitress understood him just to say, flied nice. Another time he was talking with his American friend about the irrational actions, but talked about national irragations instead. Of course it embarrassed the friend eagle.

抵达这里的外国人所经受的第一个难题是语言．不懂英语使我们词不达意。一次，一位朋友吃饭时要一些炒米饭．后来，他才明白, 原来女招待员以为他说的是"飞虫"．另有一次，他在和一位美国朋友谈论大选之事。但相反，谈论过的却是国家的"勃起"．当然，这使得他的朋友--一位女孩子，很尴尬。
